Anthony Silva is Winner of Camp Barry Shooting Week

The winning name was drawn from the ten applicants for the Barry Conservation Camp Shooting Sports week being donated by Chester Rod and Gun Club. The winning name was drawn at 8:30 PM on Monday, April 15, and the winner was Anthony Silva, age 11.

Thanks to all the other applicants for their interest and a big THANKS to the members of Chester Rod and Gun Club for donating the funds for the camp.

Anthony will be going to the Barry Camp in June and join other kids to learn safe and responsible use of firearms. Core concepts will emphasize safety, ethical development, personal responsibility and life-time recreational skills. Disciplines include archery, rifle, pistol, and black powder under the tutelage of certified instructors. There will also be other traditional camping activities and experiences.

Since 1984, thousands of New Hampshire youth have experienced Barry Conservation Camp, learning outdoor skills and deepening their understanding of the natural world. Recently the camp was restored by the donations of more than 30 Fish and Game clubs, including Chester Rod and Gun club, hundreds of individuals, businesses and conservation groups.

Congratulations Anthony!
