Barry Conservation Camp 2019

Win a Week at Barry Conservation Camp for your child or grandchild!

CRGC is again paying full tuition for a member’s child or grandchild to Barry Conservation Camp. This year CRGC will sponsor two children. One child will be sponsored for Shooting Sports and one child will be sponsored to go to Fishing Camp. There will be two separate drawings. Applicants may submit separate applications for each, but may only win one sponsorship.

Children and grandchildren, aged 10 to 16, of current members are eligible* to win a simple drawing at the club on 01/25/2019.

Simply fill out and mail in the appropriate Shooting Sports or Fishing Camp Parental Permission and Application Form. These forms are also available directly in the Public Documents area of the CRGC website. Forms must be received by CRGC by midnight 01/24/2019.

Shooting Sports Week 6/23 – 6/28: Certified 4-H instructors will help youths learn marksmanship, the safe and responsible use of firearms and the basic principles of hunting. Disciplines include archery, rifle, pistol, shotgun, and black powder. Shooting skills are the main activity, but traditional camp activities will also be experienced.

Fishing Camp Week 7/7 – 7/12: Novice anglers will learn the basic skills and equipment needed to get started fishing, while experienced anglers will work on improving their fishing skills. Campers will also hike, swim, canoe, etc.

NOTE: To give different youngsters a chance to go, the winner of last year’s Shooting Sports Week award is not eligible for the same award but may apply for the Fishing Camp Award.
