About the Clinic
Chester Rod and Gun Club is hosting a Shooting Fundamentals Clinic. The clinic will take place over two nights on the last Monday and Tuesday of the month they are scheduled. See the sign-up sheet below for dates. On Monday night the class will start at 6:30pm at the Clubhouse and go until 9:00pm. On Tuesday night the class will start at 6:30pm on the Indoor Range for the live fire portion of the class. Please arrive 15-20 minutes before the start of the class to check in and get organized. The clinic is open to all members at no cost.
This clinic is designed to teach new shooters firearm safety and the fundamentals of marksmanship, giving you the confidence you need to safely handle and operate your firearm. Class size will be limited to 12 members. Limiting the class size helps the instructors focus on the needs of students as they are shown the proper and safe way to handle their firearm.
This is a hands-on clinic that will teach new shooters the fundamentals of proper stance, grip, sight alignment, trigger control, muzzle control and different techniques to safely load and unload a firearm.
Participants need to bring a firearm, unloaded in a case, with two magazines and 100 rounds of ammo. Also, eye and ear protection and a hat with a brim (ballcap) are mandatory.
